I strive to provide a warm and welcoming environment for children and adults with double vision. My goal is to provide excellent eye care in the gentlest manner possible. I specialize in the management of amblyopia, strabismus, myopia control with atropine or stellest myopia control eyeglass lenses and adult double vision. For the week of October 13th 2025 office hours will be as follows:
Monday CLOSED
Tuesday 7am till 1130am and 1230pm till 7 pm
Wednesday CLOSED
Thursday 7am till 1130 am and 1230pm till 7 pm
Friday 7am till 1130am and 1230pm till 630pm
For emergency only please text or call 917 763-8315. For non urgent matters please call 914-725-1303 and leave a short message and your phone number twice slowly. Kindly provide 48 hours notice if you cannot keep an appointment. No show appointments may result in a cancellation charge to the patient. Masks are not required in the office.
Completed eyeglass orders can be picked up anytime during office hours no appointment required for eyeglass pickup. At this time Dr. Afran is only accepting pediatric patients and new adult patients with double vision or eye muscle disorders.
New first time patients under 6 years of age will likely require eye drops and parents should expect to spend up to 90 minutes in the office for a first visit. Parent or legal guardian must accompany all patients under 16 years of age for appointments. Please bring your health insurance card(s) to all appointments. Please note that Dr Afran does not participate in or accept any Vision plans at this time.

Dr. Afran is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Eye Motility Disorders, Amblyopia and Myopia control with atropine and the new Stellest myopia control eyeglass lenses.. He also treats adults with diplopia, refractive errors, and eye muscle disorders. Dr. Afran has been recognized as a Top Ophthalmologist in Westchester County, NY by several organizations in recent years.
